Citizens from the republic of Burundi will be offered assistance and financial support to reintegrate in their home country if they return voluntarily.
The program is aimed at Burundi nationals with or without a legal residence permit in Norway.
Who can apply?
Burundi nationals in Norway who are:
An asylum seeker (still has an application beings processed but wishes to return home).
An unsuccessful asylum seeker (have received the final rejection with no possibility for appealing against the decision).
In Norway with either refugee or protection status.
The Assisted Voluntary Return and Financial Support to Burundi (AVRFSB) program is carried out by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) on behalf of the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI).
